I had no response to the message below posted on the Print-Fax group so I have put it in here in case some does have some knowledge.
Hi, The cheaper colour laser printers use the Windows host based printing sytem in XP. Does Vista use the same system. I am looking at buying a new colour laser printer and don't want to repeat the waste of a good printer as I did when my Star laser with the widows GDI printing system did not migrate from Win98 to WinXP.

Windows Vista supports GDI+ for compatibility, so it should be just as compatible with Windows Vista as it is with Windows XP, its possible you might need to get updated drivers for it to work with Windows Vista x64, since that version will require signed drivers. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
